Here at CYT, we provide holistic and inclusive drama experiences for youth, ages 5-18. Each student who registers is guaranteed a role in a quality, full-scale stage production that includes sets, costumes, props, and more.
Ages 6-12
Interested in music, dance, and theatre? These camps provide a fun introduction to the process of putting on a performance as a team!
Each week features a new set of songs from current musicals and disney films for which your child will learn music, dances, and short scenes.

WEEK 3 – June 19th-22nd 2023 – Current Broadway Hits

WEEK 5 – July 10th – 13th – All Mixed Up: Cast yourself!
We also sprinkle in fun theatre games, scenework, and improv comedy, providing your child a holistic theatre curriculum. All tings covered throughout the week will be showcased in a performance for friends and family the last day of camp!

The Plastics have deemed Broadway Junior worthy of their presence in Mean Girls JR! This “fetch” musical from book writer Tina Fey (30 Rock), lyricist Nell Benjamin (Legally Blonde) and composer Jeff Richmond (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) is packed with keen wit, an undeniably catchy score, and a sincere message for everyone.

Chandler Youth Theatre strives to produce both quality productions and positive theater experiences by teaching children to respect the space, respect the instructors and each other, and, most of all, to respect themselves.
Disney’s Newsies JR. is a 60-minute version of the 2012 Broadway musical, based on the 1992 film. Inspired by the rousing true story of newsboys in turn-of-the-century New York City, Newsies JR. features a Tony Award-winning score by Alan Menken and Jack Feldman and a book by Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein.
When powerful newspaper publishers raise prices at the newsboys’ expense, the charismatic Jack Kelly rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions. Together, the newsies learn that they are stronger united and create a movement to fight for what’s right.
Including the now-classic songs “Carrying the Banner,” “Seize the Day,” and “Santa Fe,” Newsies JR. is a timeless story full of spirit and heart.
Join Chandler Youth Theatre’s Company crew for the whimsical tale of James and his Giant Peach.
Based on one of Roald Dahl’s most poignantly quirky stories, Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach JR. is a brand new take on this “masterpeach” of a tale. Featuring a wickedly tuneful score and a witty and charming book, this adventurous musical about courage and self-discovery is destined to be a classic.

There’s something strange going on at Sondheim High School. New transfer student, Norma LaBelle, is having trouble getting accustomed to the school’s unusual traditions. At any given moment, students and teachers burst into song for no apparent reason. Each time they sing, it sounds almost like a famous Broadway musical.
Rebellion is high in Matilda JR., a gleefully witty ode to the the anarchy of childhood and the power of imagination! This story of a girl who dreams of a better life and the children she inspires will have audiences rooting for the “revolting children” who are out to teach the grown-ups a lesson.

Packed with high-energy dance numbers and catchy songs, Matilda JR. is a joyous girl power romp. Children and adults alike will be thrilled and delighted by the story of the special little girl with an extraordinary imagination.
Rock of Ages is a jukebox musical built around classic rock songs from the 1980s, especially from the famous glam metal bands of that decade. The musical features songs from Styx, Journey, Bon Jovi, Pat Benatar, Twisted Sister, Steve Perry, Poison and Europe, among other well-known rock bands.
